Our Mission

Changing children

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."
-Nelson Mandela

Children need three things to grow: adequate nutrition, education and affirmation. MEDS for Africa is providing early education programs to preschools in Kenya who will give these children a future. The children are fed two meals a day as well.

Our Values

Changing communities

We strongly believe that community buy-in to our mission is vital to enacting meaningful and lasting change in East Africa. Through our feeding program, young girls program, and support of local hospitals and nursing schools, we aim to support human flourishing throughout the communities we serve.

Changing you

"Our trip to Kenya with Meds for Africa changed our lives and our outlook on the rest of the world.

We met the most inspiring people who were truly committed to making things better for God’s children there who have hard lives, but never stop singing and smiling. One afternoon with nothing scheduled (a rarity!), we asked to go to the local marketplace. There we saw a pile of used shoes from the US, a pile almost two stories tall, with only single shoes, no pairs, and the people were thrilled to have them. Maybe that was understandable when we met a man who walked thirty miles to work with NO shoes.

As for the medical clinics, we had no medical training, but were able to work hard in the pharmacy dispensing the prescribed medications and monitoring the lines of people who had come for help. There were always long lines waiting to see the doctor, many mothers and their children with malaria.

Kenya also has beautiful sights to see when you’re not working. The animals, lions, elephants, giraffes, are a never-to-be-forgotten highlight too.

We encourage you. Join the Meds for Africa team in Kenya."
